I've been coming to the N. Conway area for over 40 years (I have family there). I'm not sure how long the Black Cap has been there, but it's new to me. My sister and I were up there this weekend, and wanted lunch today before driving home. I selected this restaurant based on a quick review of the menu. We were both very pleased!

The outdoor tables looked nice, but it was pretty windy, so we sat inside. We were greeted warmly and seated at a nice 4-top. The menu isn't huge, but has a good amount of variety. I ordered the chicken and prosciutto sandwich (minus the prosciutto) with fries and a prickly pear lemonade. My sister chose a sandwich with (I think) pastrami and caramelized onions with onion rings and a regular lemonade. Both sandwiches came with a pickle.

The food was so good! Everything felt and tasted very fresh. The bread was fresh and soft, the fries hot and tasty, the onion rings super crunchy, and the pickles were crisp and cold. The lemonade was also very fresh, and not too sweet. Our server was also very good - friendly and professional.

I will definitely be back to try other things from the menu.
